Bring the cold winter into your warm cozy home with this fun and entertaining puzzle activity!

Little ones love puzzles but it can be so boring doing the same thing over and over. Today, I’m going to show you how to elevate your puzzle play by hiding the pieces they need in a sensory bin.

Materials we used:

  • Target containers
  • Chuckle and Roar Wooden Game (or any puzzle you have)
  • Epsom salt

My boys (20 months and 3 years) were the perfect ages for this indoor fun. Yes, a bit messy, but a relatively easy clean up!

After creating the bins for my boys, I gave them free reign to play in the sensory containers. At first they were really intrigued with the salt and loved moving it around. Then they realized there were hidden puzzle pieces within the fake snow so they tried to match them to the card tiles.

This is a really versatile activity and you can use any materials you have sitting around to recreate it for your little ones.

Let me know if you try this! I would love to hear how it goes!
