The perfect addition to your child’s color learning experience! Especially for those Lego lovinnn littles!
All I used:
- Lego Duplos
- Lego Duplo Mat
- Small container
Yep, that’s all you need! And no worries if you don’t have Lego Duplos, use Mega Blocks, regular Legos, or ANY COLORED ITEM!
For prep, all I did was set out one block of seven different colors and make sure I had the same colors in a basket for him to choose from. Then, asked him to match the rest of the blocks to the one I already placed!
For my 3 year old, this was wayyy too easy. Like he literally did it in less than a minute and I was honestly shocked. But for my 20 month old, who is still learning colors and names, it was the perfect activity.
It gave him a great mix of fun and learning. My oldest (for his extension activity) was able to help him through it. I love watching one child learn through teaching and the other learn through practice and experimenting.
When they were both done with this activity they went straight into Lego building mode where they both work on separate projects FOREVER! One of my very favorite things is watching them create things and watch their imagination come to life.
